Break Outta School

This scene was originally cut to Slade’s ‘Cum On Feel The Noize’ but, despite Director Richard Loncraine having made ‘Slade In Flame’ in 1971, there was no Noddy of ascent when it came to a reduction in the clearance cost. I wrote ‘Break Outta School’ to musically reflect the anarchic act of doing what we’d all love to do to a clamper. The lyrics (including the ‘Wooo’) tip a large cap to the Stones by way of the Dandy Warhols (who themselves tipped a career-sized cap to the Stones). There are few better feelings in life than crashing out those Keith Richards suspended pull-offs. Honest.
